Mums and Pumpkins.

I am over the moon excited to decorate our house for Fall. I get excited to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out the best, perfectly shaped, pumpkins! And not to mention the pretty mums. I am not sure what kind of door wreath we'll be doing this year, but I'm hoping for something very festive, maybe even one with a bow. OH! My family and I haven't done this in a while, but getting bails of hay and centering the pumpkins around them or even on top of them. Ah! As you can see, I am thrilled about this. :)

Not to scare anyone, but I am also a Winter lover. This is our house last year!! I happen to love all seasons, and couldn't even imagine living somewhere that stays the same year round! Snow is beautiful, though it may be a fuss to drive in and trample around in.

Pumpkin Spice Latte.

My first Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte of the Fall season! Mmmm. It was perfectly delicious. Now I just wish the weather would cool down a bit. It's still in the 80's!

Flight 93 Memorial, 10th Anniversary of 9/11 Commemoration.

When I learned about Flight 93 in middle school, I felt a real connection to flight attendant, Sandy Bradshaw. I was touched by the heroic story of the 40 men and women who fought to save the Nation from further tragedy. Sandy is my inspiration, role model, and hero. She will forever live on in my heart and because of her, I am going after my dream of becoming a flight attendant. I want to help people like she did. I was thankful and honored to be able to visit the Flight 93 site on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

There was a 45 minute wait to enter the park. But the scenery on the slow drive up was absolutely breathtaking. They say you become drawn to that place, and I now know why.

Once we were parked, everyone took buses to the actual crash site of United Flight 93. Everyone was very friendly and truly PROUD to be an American.

Obama and the first lady were on this helicopter. Everyone stood up on their chairs when they landed to get pictures, autographs, shakes their hands, and speak to them.

There was a 17-ton boulder to make the crash site. I become very emotional and it really hit home to actually be standing where the plane went down. The final resting place of the heroes of Flight 93.
Being there was a life changing experience. It altered me in a way that I didn't think it could. I will hopefully be a flight attendant by the next 9/11, and I cannot wait to wear my uniform proudly to the memorial. I am forever moved by the heroism and courage of everyone on Flight 93. And I'll always remember their sacrifice. My hero Sandy Bradshaw, will always hold a very, very special place in my heart.

Photo shoot.

My friend, Ashleigh, is an incredible photographer. She took my Senior pictures and now I occasionally model for her and help her out. Here are some pictures from the shoot:

Fall is in the air.

I couldn't be more ecstatic! Fall is my favorite time of year. The leaves begin to change, the weather is cooler, you begin to pull out coats, sweaters, and boots, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin scented candles, and not to mention the endless baking of autumn desserts, yum!

"Come," said the Wind to the leaves one day."Come over the meadow and we will play." Put on your dresses of red and gold. For summer is gone and the days grow cold."

Nautical is here to stay.

The Nautical trend has been all the rage for the last couple of years. And it looks like it is back for another! Nautical is certainly not just for Spring/Summer but you can play it up for Fall, as well. :)

  1. BDG Nautical Pullover, $15, available at Urban Outfitters.
  2. Lauren by Ralph Lauren Pants, Fisher with Sailor buttons, $100, available at Macy's.
  3. Feel The Piece Casper top, $77, available at Singer22.

I happen to l-o-v-e Nautical just as much as the next fashionista! I purchased this sailor-esque romper a year ago. I love the feminine touch with the polka dots. The gold buttons have little anchors on them! Unfortunately it is no longer in stores. But as you're Fall shopping this year, don't be afraid to go Nautical on some pieces of clothing. It will be here for a while and possibly into Spring 2012!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Labor Day! xo

Day with mum.

Yesterday was a fun-filled day with my mum. We went grocery shopping, clothes shopping, and then ended our day with some delicious Starbucks. It was quite cute because when we dropped the groceries off at home, my dad was re-arranging the family room. My mum and I decided we would go get the play station 3 game he's been wanting, Madden NFL 12. So, we went and picked him up a bag of his favorite snack, Kettle Corn and surprised him. He was definitely more than surprised! Here are some pictures from yesterday:

Simply Vera, Vera Wang Skinny Ponte Pants from Kohls.
Scarf from American Eagle.

Then one of my brothers older friends works at Starbucks and made one of her specialty drinks. It tastes JUST like cake batter. I kid you not. I was in absolute heaven!
